Hazard Assessments are used to conduct inspections of all workplaces or tasks to determine if there is hazardous equipment present that would require the use of protective personnel equipment.
This is why there are Hazard Assessment Forms, to show that a specific workplace is in fact dangerous due to hazardous equipment and should serve as a warning to employees and others that you’ll need to be wary and show proper care.

Hazard Type Examples
There are different types of hazardous examples and here are some of them:
- Hazardous Tree – Some trees, no matter how beautiful, can be considered dangerous. Some may look as if they’ll fall at any moment, or some disrupt power lines that could be disastrous, which is why there are forms to prevent the possibility of these happening.
- Chemical Hazards – Certain chemicals can be very deadly and can risk the health of everyone around. That’s why it’s best for everyone to know that they should steer clear. Otherwise, they would be endangering themselves.
- Pre Hazards – This is for when you want an employee or anyone else to know about the hazards ahead of time before a project commences. Examples would be excessive noise or possible falling material.
- Workplace Hazards – This is the most common type, especially for construction jobs. It’s to let everyone know how dangerous the workplace is. This is taking into account the construction equipment and the possibilities of uncertain factors that could potentially harm someone.
If you’re going to take part in hazardous jobs, then you’ll need to submit a Job Assessment Form. This is to make sure that you’re up to the task and that you are aware of the risks upon accepting the job.

Safety precautions are always a must. If not done right, then anyone can be potentially hurt. If in an event that something like this happens, then a company could end up with a lawsuit on their hands; or even worse, it could lead to the death of an innocent bystander or a beloved coworker. This is why safety precautions are the most important thing to focus on when working or entering a hazardous area.
